When looking for a speaker sound bar for TV, consider makers like Sony, Yamaha, and Acoustic Research. Yamaha makes a sound bar speaker system that's only 4 inches tall and can be wall mounted. Polk Audio's Surround Bar comes with a wireless subwoofer.

I don't want a full cinema surround system, definitely a soundbar, what do people recommend?

i was thinking about getting a cheap soundbar for my tv something like this http://www.target.com/VIZIO-High-Definition-Sound-Bar/dp/B002EPF6YO . If i hook it up to my tv will it still play if i change over to my ps3 or dvd player? or will i have to connect the audio from my ps3/dvd to the bar with splitters along with my tv?

i blew the speakers in my jeep and want to receive new ones for the soundbar. I don't want to receive an amp or a subwoofer, don't have the money. so would like some speakers that sound good on both high and low frequencies, especially with the top down. would like it to be below $100, but can go to $150 if need be. thanks

I purchased the vizio soundbar with subwoofer around Xmas and it works great with decent sound. The only problem is the remote control that came with it is a piece of junk and did not last. I know there are superior universal remotes that can possible control anything and everything. I have comcast and wondered if there is a way to program that remote to work with my surround sound. I honestly do not want to spend 200+ for a universal remote I am completely glad with comcast which does control my tv. If there is no way for the comcast remote to work with my surround sound, could someone PLEASE recommend a inexpensive remote to work with vizio. If a 5+ function remote is the only way to go then that's what I will do. I just want to control my surround sound without having to receive up every time its to noisy or soft.

I hooked a Vizio sound bar up to my tv and i am getting a bad echo because the tv seems to be like a 1/10th of a second behind the sound bar. I am coming off the dvr with an rca splitter cable then taking separate rca cables to the tv and the sound bar. If it matters the tv is connected to the dvr with component cables. Could higher quality cables to the tv speed it up? or is it a tv processing delay of some nice or... (the tv does not have an rca out so i can't go dvr>tv>soundbar)

Ok, to start off i have... Kenwood KDC-MP142 deck 2 Kenwood KFC-1660S 6.5in speakers in the rear soundbar Up front i still have the stock speakers. My cousin is giving me a box for a 12in sub. Im not looking to run an amp to my speakers yet, im still paying off massive repair bills. What i need... 2 6.5in speakers (no more than $30 for pair) 12in sub (cheap) amp to power said sub (cheap) my job has been cutting my hours like crazy so im doing every this on the cheap. I know cheap doesnt sound good but there has to be something. Im lookin at stores like pepboys, walmart, kmart, ect. Suggestions? Thanks!

I have a Samsung LCD TV and the audio on it isn't very good. I am looking for a sound bar audio system since I want improved sound when I watch cable TV. Anyone know any good ones or what companies to look at? I was thinking about Samsung since I have a Samsung TV, but I am guessing it really doesn't matter.

I just got an 02 jeep wrangler with a. I really want to upgrade the speaker system. Does anyone know of a good sound bar or speakers that are easily concealed? soundbar

Hello folks. I'm planning on setting up a car audio system with four 4" powered be a 4-channel amp, four 6.5" powered by a 4-channel amp and two 15" subs powered by a mono-channel amp. I was about to make my purchase using every JBL equipment when I listened to a pal of mine's Boston Acoustic Soundbar. I almost couldn't believe it. My personal taste lies in hearing everything with the best quality possible. I'm not interested in blowing other car's windows, but that when I hear to an August Rush tune, I wanna feel that I'm in front of the orchestra. Thanks in advance!

Here's the thing: I need a nice sound system from my new Samsung LED TV. I'm choosing one of these - Samsung soundbar http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HT-WS1R-XAA-Soundbar/dp/B001XCX9RU Samsung home cinema http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/5285145/art/samsung/ht-c555-home-cinema-syste.html I would go with home cinema, but the store manager told me, that the sound bar is in a way better, `cos it gives nice and full sound every over the room, because it bounces of the walls or something. But the cinema is great if you sit right in the middle of every the four speakers, only then you receive the best sound. Is it true? Any experiance? Please don't mention anything about prises, as they are different in my country, I only want to discuss the quality and benefits! Which one is better? Pros and cons?

I do not have a stereo receiver so how can I use my non-powered subwoofer with my soundbar?

I know that surround sound systems need a receiver.....do soundbars?

Where can i receive a powered subwoofer for my soundbar for my TV That is inexpensive with RCA connections?

they play it in the commercial here in chicago, its an if you seek amy remix, it is always played on dance factory for the Soundbar commercial.... its a tiny snippet but it is kinda amazing, but i have no clue who does the remix!!! help!!!! it totally has a tribal sound to it... ugh and doll girl ya dont you just hate it when they play songs and dont tell you who they mix them by!!!! sick try the energy website, but they usually just list the name of the tune, and its every club music so they rarely say who the remix is by. ok so the tribal one isnt it. best way i can describe it is, it sounds kinda like the diplo remix of circus, but its obviously not that... every you really hear in the comercial is the giggle from if you seek amy and an amazing beat... ugh i really want this tune!! lol ITS THE CROOKERS REMIX... AND IM SO DUMB... ITS BEEN SITTING IN MY MUSIC FOLDER FOR WEEKS AND DIDNT EVEN REALIZE IT!!!!! MY EX IS A DJ AND SENT ME A BUNCH OF REMIXES HE THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA IM SO STUPID. THANKS GUYS.

Right now i have a soundbar, and two other sets of speakers, and a 1100 watt sub hooked up right now with no speakers paralleled. the amp seems to heat up real hot so i quit running it and am trying to find out the best way to hook every these up. What is the best way?

So I got Lips on 360 for my girlfriend and she loves it, but the mic has this echo problem that makes it difficult for her to keep up with the tune because it's distracting and confusing. I have HDMI from my Xbox to the tv, and an optical from the tv to a soundbar. Is it something wrong with my setup? Or an adjustment I can make in the game settings or what? Help!

I have a 42" Vizio flat screen HDTV and I absolutely adore it. On the regular channels, the volume is fine, but on the HD channels, you have to turn the volume up every the way just to be able to hear it. I am trying to figure out if a soundbar would be the best option for me.. and would this one work with my tv to accomplish what i need it to? Thanks! http://www.target.com/VIZIO-High-Definition-Sound-Bar/dp/B002EPF6YO/ref=br_1_1?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&qid=1278341170&searchView=grid5&sr=1-1&node=727788011&searchRank=pmrank&searchPage=1&rh=&searchSize=30&id=VIZIO%20High%20Definition%20Sound%20Bar&searchBinNameList=target_com_category-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin%2Cprice

I have a Sharp Soundbar that uses both an RCA cable and an optical cable. At the moment I have the RCA cable connected, but was wondering if it's better to use the optical cable. Also, is an SPDIF cable the same as an optical cable? Which is better for sound? Should I use the RCA cables or buy an optical cable? Also, are there more than one type? I have a Sharp 32 in LCD LED HDTV and it has an optical cable input. Which is better and will is make a difference in the sound?

I was looking to receive a soundbar (and later a subwoofer once I have saved up or if i'm not completely satisfied with the sound already) for the TV but not sure if it'll fit. These are the ports on the TV. My budget is tight so I only want to spend $150-180 max on the soundbar. Thanks

I don’t really have a big room, but I need something that provides adequate sound. I need something that has minimal wires and is very effective for the cost. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I have a 3.1 Surround Sharp Soundbar, I have paired it with a Sony subwoofer 10" I am not sure of the wattage off the top of my head, but it has a volume knob and a Freq. knob on the back....what should I have freq. set too.....it goes from 50 -200.

It's a yahama ysp-4000bl

I'm looking for a soundbar with an ipod dock that has a digital coaxial audio in! Highest Reviewed/Cheapest price wins the points!

Does Bose make a soundbar that fits below your plasma TV?

My situation: Sharp Aquos 52in wall mounted Behind the wall mount is a power outlet (spots for 4 plugs) and 1 HDMI cable which snakes through the wall to the other side of the room. Where the HDMI cable comes out I have it going into a Comcast HD cable box. I'd like to add a sound bar, wall mounted beneath the TV. I can discretely run the power plug behind the TV mount to the outlet and any other connection wires to the TV. BUT, do I have to run the HDMI cable from the sound bar to the cable box? The holes in the wall have already been spackled/painted and I do not want to have more(any) wires showing. Down the line I would like to add a DVD/Blue Ray player and likely a video game system. Do every these components need to receive wired into the soundbar or can I just have the one connection (Soundbar-TV) and to handle it? Thank you! The outlet behind the tv can support three more plugs, so I would discretly run the sound bar power wire behind the TV mount to the outlet. If the sound bar is run only to the TV and not to the cable box, will I still receive surround sound? (I know a sound bar is not *true* SS).

I don't have enough room for my speakers so I was going to install in-ceiling speaker for the front and back speakers. It will be in my living room. We have a pretty open layout with high ceilings. I will also have a subwoofer and soundbar to go along with the in-ceiling speakers. From what I have researched the in-ceiling speakers aren't as good as regular surround sound speakers. And I'm worried about the high ceiling playing a factor in it. Do you think I'm wasting my money with the in-ceiling speakers? I want a good quality sound. i would put speaker on the wall but then they wont be symmetrical due to the open floor plan.

I'm about to buy the Samsung ht-ws1r sound bar but I saw it only has 1 optical audio output so how am I supposed to receive sound from my cable box and ps3 to the sound bar?

I'm slowly working on upgrading the audio in my Wrangler. Everything is stock for the stereo system. I was wondering what the RMS watts and the peak output was for the factory stereo. I cant find that info anywhere. Im thinking about first upgrading the reciever. Im looking at a Sony CDX-GT340. it has an RMS rating of 17w x 4 and a peak output of 52w x 4. From quadratec, i could receive it with complete installation kit http://quadratec.com/products/96089_300X… . this next link is the link for this reciever at crutchfield.com http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT340/So… is this a decent reciever? when i receive more money, im going to be adding a 6 speaker soundbar http://www.quadratec.com/products/14118_… new dash speakers http://www.quadratec.com/products/14133_… and a subwoofer (i would probably receive it with the speaker and amp included) http://www.quadratec.com/products/14136_… . Would the Sony reciever work well with every of these? I might add an amp for the soundbar and dash speakers later if i need to. Should i receive something with more than 17 x 4 RMS watts or is that enough? sorry i know there are alot of questions but I just need a simple reciever that will handle the new speakers and sub that i want to install and i like that it has the AUX in on the front for my ipod. My pal installed the reciever in his jeep cherokee and i liked it alot. I dont need it for a huge system. this is just a daily driver and im just looking to replace the stock system with something a little better. Thanks!

I have a 1997 jeep wrangler with a 4cyl, four wheel steer. I want to receive a lot of different items for it, one being a 6cyl engine, another is a soundbar, etc.

I mean i want to turn my tv video in into a video out output then connect that to my soundbar can i do that if confuse please let me know thanks. If so where can i purchase it what website please glue the link thank you.

I'm hearing a little echo when I use my tv sound and the soundbar combined. It's like the two are not in sync. So I need to know what settings I should put to tune this thing out. The soundbar i have is the samsung ht-ws1g. I really do not want to mute the tv because I like the extra treble and bass so lmk what I should do. I am using hdmi cable for the ps3 to the tv, and fiber optic audio cable from soundbar to tv.

I'm pretty much down to buying a soundbar tomorrow. I do not like the wires, my aptartment is tiny enough, and I just want a little extra bass when playin my ps3 or watchin a movie. I'm looking for something with a built in subwoofer but external is fine. Just need one that will mate up with my 42" LG Lcd tv with no problems, one that has good reviews, not too much to ask. 10 points to the most helpful answer.

Ok i have a 1998 jeep wrangler which has two speakers in front then has two 200 watt peak speakers on the soundbar in the back and im looking to install two premade sound boxes that have two 6.5 inch 300 watt peak speakers and two 1 inch tweeters but im worried about power and wondering if i should invest in an amplifier or if it will be okay without it.

Well,I purchased a new 50 inch Samsung plasma tv.This is my first flat screen purchase so I'm clueless about set up and add ons.I want to have a good sound setup so I was thinking about purchasing this 6 speaker 1,000 watt system I think it was Phillips for $178 in Walmart.I'm not trying to spend alot because I am on a budget and not looking for the top brand.I don't want to spend over $230.I figure 1,000 watts would be noisy.Any help would be appreciated. Also,if anybody knows how exactly a soundbar works?Cause I saw it in the store when I bought my tv.Is it better then a theatre system or shoud you have both. This is every very new to me.I thank anybody that answers.

I'm buying a Jeep for my husband and am having trouble deciding between two. I can't decide if I want to compromise mileage for price. Now I know that Jeeps are made to run for forever. However, this will be my husbands daily driver and will take him around the country while he travels during training for the Navy. These are the two I'm trying to decide between: http://www.lejeuneyardsales.com/item.jsp?itemId=13573508&src=SEARCH http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/1586115376.html The first one has aftermarket stereo, and soundbar. Along with brand new tranny and suspension. The second one has a cleaner interior but still has every the factory parts. Oh and the "sold" on the first Jeep is sold to me. I put a refundable deposit on it. But now I'm second guessing my decision to keep money. Just not sure how much it will keep me in the long run though. As I said before, the 2004 one is sold to ME. I've put a deposit down on it. The reason the tranny was replaced was because the owner didn't take care of it. He took it to the car store and never paid his bills. Therefore the car store is selling it. every the new parts arrive with a warranty and have 0 miles driven with the new parts. It has a brand new transmission (not rebuilt) brand new suspension, and brand new brakes.

If I place soundbar below or directly in front of tv it works fine. If I move it over the tv, where I want it to be, functions will not stay set!!! (Samsung unit with wireless subwoofer)

Hello, is the "Dell AY511 SoundBar" compatible with "Dell UltraSharp 2209WA"(TFT) or only with the Ultrasharp 24/27. According to Dell it is not compatible. But i am not sure, because the AX510 Soundbar is compatible (acc. to many online shops) and Dell don't mention it also on their website. Thanks.

I got a Philips DVD home theater (HTIB) and looking for Soundbar solution (Dont want to run wires and need a simple one). The main reason for me to upgrade (or downgrade to soundbar) is that I receive annoyed with the background music in movies which are always over the sound level of dialogs. So I keep changing volume levels (increase during dialogs and reduce during background music). Is there any soundbar available to reduce the volume of just background music? I checked some of soundbar specifications and they mention it will maintain same sound levels between commercials/channel change. But not sure whether they will provide option to reduce just background music. Can anyone help? PS: I am planning to buy a Bluray player for playing movies and music. I will connect this bluray player to soundbar and my 32-inch LCD TV. If there is no possibility of reducing background music, is there at least any system make both dialogues and background music to same volume levels (or decibals)

I am currently looking into buying a home theater system for my room, and at first I was going to look into a more powerful system but I realize I cannot have something too powerful because of the noise in my room with thin walls and neighbors nearby etc. However I was looking into both these Sound Systems (Philips Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Coby CSP96) and wasnt sure which to pick. The Soundbar with the woofer rlly interested me, but im not 100% sure bc i saw reviews of some ppl having difficulty or some negative comments. Likewise with the Coby CSP96. I was solely wondering which of these two is better?? I am aware Coby CSP96 is cheaper but in this case is irrelevant because with Dell I have Monetary credit that will lower the price of the Philips Significantly. Which will sound better, perform better, or overall be better??? Thank You And I wish To Hear Your Response. For Links on both products look up these Amazon links. Coby CSP96 Home Theater Speaker System: http://www.amazon.com/Coby-CSP96-300-Watt-5-1-Channel-Theater/dp/B001U5U3HY Philips HSB3280 Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-HSB3280-audio-system-player/product-reviews/B002KEHNQ8/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1 Also I am looking for something not too expensive due to my budget which is why I made the comment about the Dell Credit for the soundbar. But Thank You anyway for the suggestion. Im just still unsure of which to pick. The fact that the Philips can be conttrolled (including volume) from Remote is tempting (The Coby cant be remote controlled)...but still I will look which is best. If anyone has an opinion I rlly appreciate answers. Thank You Again ALSO just to note I have an HDTV Samsung, which sound system would go better with it? I saw one review about the Philips saying it has an HDMI port which sounds great but is it really the better buy? Thanks in advance again.
